In life, we easily find ourselves devoted to many things--our family, our job, our friends, favorite teams, and so on. As Christians, we have a high calling to be devoted to God's people--the Church, specifically the local expression of His Church. In the book of Acts, we witness the new and growing church devoting themselves to one another and to the mission Christ had given them. God's means of taking the gospel to the world was through His Church loving one another and proclaiming the good news of salvation, through the empowering Holy Spirit. The same is true for us today.
In this series, we will focus upon Acts 2:42-47, specifically looking at why the early believers were driven to devotion to one another and what were some of the vital things to which they were driven to be devoted. Come to have your heart challenged and encouraged that we might be a church that gives God supreme glory and worship as we live out who He has called us to be in Christ together.
