Who are you?
Redeeming Grace Church came to be out of a passion to see God glorified through the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ, across the Coachella Valley. Our vision is to see the reality of the gospel infiltrate every aspect of our community, as people are transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
What is your mission?
Our mission is simple — We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ who grow, live, serve, and lead in the gospel. A disciple is a fully committed follower of Jesus Christ whose desire is to learn and grow more by God’s grace to be like Him.
With whom are you affiliated?
Redeeming Grace Church is a non-denominational church. We band together with many other churches and organizations that make the gospel of Christ the central point of their mission and activity. These groups include The Gospel Coalition, Together for the Gospel, Sovereign Grace Ministries, Acts 29 Network, 9Marks, and many others.
What is your church leadership structure?
We follow a biblical eldership model. We select men to lead the church who are called, qualified, equipped, and passionate about God and serving His church.
What are your core beliefs?
We have four core beliefs: We are reformed in our theology, meaning we place a high value on God’s sovereign work of grace in salvation and throughout redemptive history in bringing a people to Himself through Jesus Christ alone. We are evangelical, meaning we believe a person experiences salvation by repentance and believing the gospel. We are complementarian, meaning we believe in the specific and complementary roles of men and women in the home and church, especially in regards of leadership and service. We are continuationists, meaning that we believe that all of God’s gifts to His Church, administered by the Spirit and outlined in Scripture, are normative for all church history, including today.
What is your Sunday service like?
Every time we gather as the church, especially on Sunday services, we want to be intentional in rehearsing the gospel as a community. Our liturgy, or form of service, follows the general outline of the gospel. So we include elements like singing, Scripture reading, prayer, the expository preaching of the Bible, partaking in the Lord’s Supper, and other elements that draw our hearts to worship God supremely and prepare us to share His grace with those around us.
What is your music like?
We want to sing songs that lead us to the love and grace of God that is demonstrated in the gospel. Our style is contemporary, with a blend of hymns, familiar worship songs, and modern songs that focus on the depths of who Christ is and what He has done for us.
Is there something for children?
We value in ministering the gospel to the entire family. Ministering to our children is an important part of our mission. They will learn and hear God’s good news of Jesus in every lesson. We also want them to enjoy their time and be excited about who God is and what He can do in their lives.
Are there meetings other than Sunday?
We want to take what we’ve learned from God’s Word on Sundays and see it applied to our individual lives and our lives in community. Our Life Groups are when we meet together throughout the week to care for and share God’s grace with each other. You are more than welcome to come to our life groups and find out more about God’s glorious gospel.
How can I get involved?
Come and join us on a Sunday service. This is a great way to get to know who we are and get connected with our wonderful people. Attend a Life Group and discover what the gospel looks like in community. Membership is a great way of committing to a local church like Redeeming Grace Church by filling out an application and taking our membership class. But most importantly, love and serve others in the truth and power of the gospel. Feel free to ask us ways you can specifically serve God’s church and our city.
